Beach-club sunsets, shopping and great dining, a spa day and a temple — the good life, planned.

Seminyak is made for an easy, indulgent few days: no big sights to tick off, just great food, shopping, spas and those famous beach-club sunsets. Three days is perfect to settle in — and, if you fancy, to slip out for a day trip. Here's how to make the most of it.
The plan:Day 1 beach and a beach-club sunset with dinner. Day 2 shopping, a spa, and Tanah Lot at sunset. Day 3 a day trip (Uluwatu or Ubud) — or a relaxed beach-and-nightlife day.
Day 1 — Beach & beach-club sunset
Settle in
Morning: a lazy café brunch, then Seminyak Beach for a swim (mind the flags).
Afternoon: book a daybed at Potato Head or Ku De Ta.
Sunset & evening: cocktails as the sun drops, then dinner on Eat Street.
Day 2 — Shopping, spa & a temple sunset
The good life
Morning: browse the boutiques on Jalan Kayu Aya and Basangkasa.
Afternoon: a long spa treatment to escape the heat.
Late afternoon: drive to Tanah Lot for the sea-temple sunset (arrive early).
Seminyak's sunsets — from a beach club or Tanah Lot — are the highlight. Photo via Wikimedia Commons (CC).
Day 3 — Day trip or slow down
Your choice
Cliffs: a day at Uluwatu — beaches, the temple and Kecak dance.
Culture: a day trip to Ubud — rice terraces and temples.
Getting around: walk the centre; use Grab/Gojek or taxis for longer hops.
Book beach clubs & top restaurants ahead, especially for weekend sunsets.
Traffic is heavy at peak times — leave extra time for dinner and Tanah Lot.
Where to stay: walkable Oberoi, upscale Petitenget or better-value Double Six — see where to stay in Seminyak.
Frequently asked questions
Is 3 days enough for Seminyak?
Yes — three days covers the beach and a beach-club sunset, shopping and dining, a spa day, Tanah Lot, and a day trip, without rushing.
What is the best way to spend 3 days in Seminyak?
Day one beach and a beach-club sunset with dinner; day two shopping, a spa, and Tanah Lot at sunset; day three a day trip to Uluwatu or Ubud, or a relaxed beach-and-nightlife day.
Can you do day trips from Seminyak?
Yes — Uluwatu, Ubud and Tanah Lot are easy day trips, and a Nusa Penida day trip is possible via a fast boat from Sanur. A private driver makes the longer ones comfortable.
