The pace is slow and the island is small enough to explore by scooter. Ideal for snorkelling, chilling and visiting neighbouring Ceningan via the yellow bridge.

You reach Lembongan by speedboat from Sanur (about 30 to 45 minutes). The island is small and easily managed by scooter; the roads are narrow but clearer than on Penida. The yellow suspension bridge links Lembongan with the even quieter Nusa Ceningan.
Snorkel at Manta Bay and Crystal Bay for mantas and colourful coral. Dream Beach and Devil's Tear serve up white sand and spectacular surf spray on the cliffs. On Ceningan you can jump into the Blue Lagoon or canoe through the mangroves. The surf (Shipwrecks, Playgrounds) is for advanced surfers.
Couples, snorkellers and peace seekers who want island atmosphere without the ruggedness of Penida. Easily combined with Penida, with a short boat ride in between.
Nusa Lembongan is the easygoing sister of rugged Nusa Penida: a small, laid-back island of white-sand coves, warung-lined lanes and a gentle pace, still dotted with the frames of its old seaweed farms. A short walk or scooter ride takes you across the photogenic Yellow Bridge — a narrow yellow suspension footbridge — to even sleepier Nusa Ceningan, home to the turquoise Blue Lagoon cliff jump and quiet mangrove channels you can paddle by canoe. Together the two islands make a perfect slow-down after the crowds of the mainland, close enough to Penida for a day trip but a world calmer.
The water is the star: snorkel Manta Bay and Crystal Bay for manta rays and vivid coral, and cool off at Dream Beach next to the crashing spray of Devil's Tear. Confident surfers have reef breaks like Shipwrecks and Playgrounds just offshore. Two to three nights is ideal — enough to snorkel, ride the loop across to Ceningan, and catch a sunset with a cocktail over the water. You reach Lembongan by speedboat from Sanur in about 30–45 minutes, and it pairs beautifully with Nusa Penida (a short boat ride away) for an island-hopping few days.
