This is where the fast boats arrive and where most of the island's hotels, warungs and dive shops are. Basing yourself here means short drives to Kelingking, Angel's Billabong, Broken Beach and Crystal Bay, plus easy access to the harbour for your boat back. But staying one or two nights lets you reach the east coast without rushing, and see the big viewpoints early — before the day-trippers arrive on the morning boats. For a two-coast trip, an overnight makes a real difference.
