Amed rewards a slow, water-focused stay, and two days is the sweet spot: one for the shore snorkelling and the sunset viewpoint, one for a dive or the famous Liberty wreck — with a sunrise over the sea to open each morning. Here's how to spend them.
The plan:Day 1 sunrise, snorkel Jemeluk Bay and the Japanese wreck, lunch, then the Jemeluk sunset viewpoint. Day 2 an early dive or freedive — or the USAT Liberty at Tulamben — then the coastal drive, salt farms and a last swim.
Day 1 — Snorkel & sunset
The bay and the wreck
Sunrise: Amed faces east — watch the fishing boats head out.
Morning: snorkel Jemeluk Bay and the underwater statue garden.
Midday: the shallow Japanese shipwreck, then a warung lunch.
Evening: the Jemeluk Bay viewpoint for sunset over the coast.

Day 2 — Dive & the Liberty
Go deeper
Early: a dive or freedive session in the clear morning water — or drive 20–30 min north to Tulamben.
Tulamben: dive or snorkel the USAT Liberty wreck before the crowds.
Afternoon: the coastal drive past salt farms and jukung-lined beaches.
Yes — one day for the snorkel sites and the Japanese wreck plus a sunset viewpoint, and one day to dive or freedive (or the Liberty at Tulamben), with a sunrise over the sea each morning. Add a third day for Lempuyang and Tirta Gangga.
What is the best way to spend 2 days in Amed?
Day one: sunrise, snorkel Jemeluk and the Japanese wreck, lunch, sunset viewpoint. Day two: an early dive or freedive or the Liberty at Tulamben, then the coastal drive and a last swim.
Can you see the Liberty wreck in 2 days in Amed?
Yes — it's a 20–30 minute drive north at Tulamben. Dedicate the morning of day two to it, diving or snorkelling the shallow sections, and you're back in Amed by afternoon.
